My reverse plunger in the shift lever is pushing against 3rd and 4th. I pulled the plug out of the side, and the plunger and spring slid right out. I guess it is missing the 'washer' that my parts book shows. Judging by the wear on the inside of the plug, it has been missing long time.
My guess is that it ought to have one of those soft iron 'horseshoe' clips. like on the brake shoes. Something that gets bent on to stay...this time?
Any input? description of one?
