did you have your pressure plate rebuilt? if so they could have set the lever height too low. pressure plate should be the 3 arm type, which can be set wrong for sure. had it happen to me. and on another one the used stiffer springs on on section of the plate and that REALLY caused pedal probs. Adjustment is in the 2 clevis joints under drivers side floor pan. 1/2 hour job
