were the brake linings "arc'd" ground to the
same dia as the drums ??
excessive pedel pressure required to stop can
be caused by oil soaked linings or improper adjustment.
what proceedures did you use for adjustment
correct proceedures can be found on the PIF
and also on Paul Cook's Texas PW site
does the pedal "come up" when you pump the
brakes?? - that is an indication of air in the system
none of this is speculation - all in vintage
automotive mechanics text books
