Somewhere in the archives, I found a reference to the arch in front being 5.25 inches, stock.
My front springs were flat, and I was going to add a winch, so I took my springs to a spring shop.
They added a leaf, and recurved the whole group to just over 5.25 inches. In two years there has been very little settling.
I have read several threads that say that old springs will not "hold" with re-arching alone; you need to add a leaf or two.
With Cummins upgrades, etc, some folks add 2 leaves to handle the additional weight, for example.
