All the vehicles that go out of my shop at school have the wheels nuts torqued - it is a legel issue . Most compitent tire shops use an extension that has some gizmo built in that lets the installer hit the right torque and then it cracks loose . You can get a set of these extensions with a variety of torgues.
This makes it possible for even the mouth breathing knuckle dragger to get the torque right . As long as the boss checks the goof out once a week or so .
After destroying a breaker bar trying to get a flat tire off in the bush I make a point of checking the darn torque .
There is allways some goof who will screw up .
