We need to reschedule the Potomac Highlands Tour for another weekend in October. The weekend of October 5th has a 2-night minimum for lodge rooms, a 3-night minimum for cabins, and the campground is sold out.
Right now, we are looking at either the weekend of October 12th or October 26th. There are campsites available on the weekend of the 12th, but the same minimums apply for lodge rooms and cabins, and there are only a few cabins left.
I am leaning towards the weekend of October 26th. The weekend of the 26th is wide open, with everything available and no minimum stay requirements. The weather will be cooler and the best of the fall foliage may be over, but we will pretty much have the place to ourselves. There will be no minimum stay required so people can come for as few or as many nights as they wish. I plan on reserving a 3 or 4 Bedroom cabin for Friday and Saturday night. The cabin can serve as the host camp and we will have some extra rooms available for guests. All campsites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
