Terry, based on the pic you posted of the alt. and the P/N's you say are on it, it is not an internal unit. It should say either 10SI or 12SI somewhere on it. SI means "System Integrated" (Internal Regulated). Again, I think you should go to the website I gave you,and all this will make more sense to you. Single wire systems are easy, but don't allow for load increases or decreases. All that makes for dim lights, slow blower motors, etc. A 3-wire system is not that hard to install, and you can use the harness you already have. With a 3-wire, your alternator regulator will adjust the output based on required loads.
