There's a big stink goin on locally about O'Hare Airport wanting to expand. The suburbs nearby are complaining all to hell, but the airport has been there since the 40's (military test field), and became commercial in the 50's. Most of those suburbs were mere specks, with maybe 50 to 100 people total.
Then, with the population boom, they built right up to the edge of the runways. Then, these people bitch about the noise. Well what the hell did they expect? Soon, they'll be knocking down these homes to make new runways, & the people that own that propert are making a killing, getting inflated prices for their property.
