Ford did use dana (always the smaller ones). stock axles in the old Dodges were built by Chrysler. Chevy is not a cheaper option in my experience. Also the truck that have Dodge v8 engines in thier conversion seem to bring much more money than the ones with chevy power. so from an investment standpoint it makes more sense to em to stay with Dodge parts.
