Drop the pan. Clean the pan really good inside and out. There will probably be 1 inch of muck in the bottom of the pan. Use gasket sealer on the pan edge. Lay down your new gasket and let that dry. This will keep the gasket on. Then put on more gasket sealer on top of new gasket and then get under and put the pan back on. Remember how it comes out so you can get it back in. May have to be at an angle this way and that to get back up in there and clear the front end and the oil pick up.
