I question this part of the fine print:

"The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component that is defective in workmanship and materials."

Seems to me that anything that wears out as expected from normal use will not covered. It will only be covered if found to be "defective materials and workmanship". (Also, note the curious use of *AND* vs the use of *OR* w in this statement, programmer here... big difference between and/or, though my main point does not hinge on this)

Eg, a transmission has internal parts that are worn out at 200K miles. Well that's not defective, that's expected, so not covered.

Am I being too pessimistic here?

Ken
