O/T hemi question

one of my friends told me the other day that he seen a show where they took a chevy ls1 a 429 ford and a 426 hemi stock engines n put them on the dino to see what the real hp was and the ls1 n 429 were like 600 something but the 426 hemi was in the mid 800s!!! i know that they were detuned n retard timing and everything but 800 hp stock ???? thats insane. this was a chevy guy telling me this so i dunno. anything know abt that show or anything like it?? thanks

p.s. i dont think this 270 in my fire truck would get 800hp haha
