Take them apart and clean and inspect for worn/damaged parts. Reassemble using a light grease.
To test: Connect the motor to a suction line. Turn the motor on and hold the wiper shaft against the pull of the paddle piston. Hold the motor close to your ear and gradually turn the shaft the full stroke in each direction checking for escaping/vacuum air indicating a leak. Use a hose long enough to get away from the noise of the engine.
