I used to haul potable water to my country place near Green River, Wyoming with my '49 Power Wagon. I carried 450 gallons of water (weight was about 3,700 lbs.) just fine on the stock springs. The rear springs would droop 3 1/2 inches with that load. Hope this helps for your project.
