thanks for the advice and picture....
after looking at it, i think someone along the lines of 60+ years took a few inches off the rear of my frame. that explains why things aren't "exactly" adding up.
looks like another "custom" fitting for my truck. ah well, everything else is custom, why not the fuel tank too??
