Anyone else in Virginia impacted by the new law tha went into effect July 1st?
The DMV now requires you to sign a statement that assures you own at least one other vehicle if your antique rig has the balck or yellow "antique vehicle" tags and registration.
It also requires that you take the rig to a certified mechanic who must sign that the vehicle currently has all safety equipment provided when manufactured.
Oh yea, one more thing... The new rules also come with a $50.00 "one time" fee.
Anyone else remember that the permanent antique tags and registrations were provided for a "one time" fee? Seems like someone broke their end of the deal!
I wonder how many times Virginia is going to re-visit this "one time" fee option?
