I just sold my 1971 D300 Crewcab. I've had big plans for this truck as it's basically a nice rust free WA truck with only 50K miles. I had a guy come in to the office here at the Shipyard & ask if I have 2 matching Crewcabs. After lengthy conversation he explains that he's with the new series coming out-"Bionic Woman"...I guess a take-off on the old one with Lindsay Wagner.
I told him I didn't have 2...only 1 & that I didn't want to sell it. I told him I could probably find a couple of D200's for him & took his number. I found him one in Spokane that he bought right away....then he came back & offered me $6000 for mine!
I took it thinking that it'll be kind of cool seeing it on TV instead of just sitting around here getting no use.
Today he comes to take it away & they tell me they're blowing it up in the first episode!
Not sure if mine or the $1200 Spokane truck will be ruined...or both.
Oh well...$6000 can buy me that nice $5500 "Buy It Now" 58PW on Ebay that you guys fell asleep on the other day!
Am I going to be able to sleep?
