It's a sad lesson to learn the hard way. As you said, "fortunately nobody got hurt". (Except the insurance company, and they have ways of recovering their loss) Proper cribbing will do the job, short of some unforeseen weakness in the materials or the ground below. We have discussed different methods of blocking up a truck to work on it. Some prefer concrete blocks, firewood, beam ends, saw horses, etc. to the readily available "jack stands". Here is real life proof of what can happen. JH
