I was refering to removing and installing the lock ring from the wheel, not the wheel and tire assembly from the truck. I can't imagine how prying and pounding would ever factor into installing or removing the wheel and tire from the truck.
If whoever is reading what I post needs instructions on how to remove the tire and wheel from the truck, they should not attempt to remove the tire from the rim.
