Chris is right. This notice is from the service manual. Any adjustment of the piston push rod that does not insure that the MC relief port is not blocked can cause the exact problem you are describing. While you are waiting for the Service Manual you ordered to arrive, you can go to "BRAKES" in the Frequently Asked Questions on my Museum web site for the Brakes section of the service manual that you can download and print out.
