I thought the ads were being tweaked so that websites only got paid for a completed sale instead of just a click?
Also if you have an ad, and you get paid by the click, but I click to help you, and not to buy, am I not hurting the person paying for the click?
I have not decided how to deal with all of this yet, I just try and provide good information to make the site useful. I know if I planned to buy a book from Amazon off the list of Power Wagon books I would go through dodgepowerwagon.com to do so, but I own most of those books already.
Even if someone donates directly via PayPal it still costs about 3.0% plus $0.30 a transaction to receive the money, so if the amount is small the cost of getting the money is high.
I would love to create more content for the web, but since I have not figured out a way to get paid for my time, I can not afford to collect the info, and put it up without going broke. So I understand the problem, I just don't know how to solve it.
