...for those of you living in a seismic zone, such as the West Coast, Alaska and Missouri*. A vertical compressor should be bolted down for safety. There are commercial isolators made for this type of attachment that will not transmit vibration, noise, or harm the legs, or the compressor in any manner.
As one who has experienced earth movement over 7 on the Richter Scale, 300 or so pounds flying through the air is not a pretty sight. Bolting down your compressor just might save your life, or the life of a youngster in harms way.


* Missouri, home to the contiguous United States largest earthquake, estimated to be over 8.5.
