I first towed my Gooseneck with a 98 Dodge 4x4 club cab short bed with a V-10 and 47RE. The truck was handy in putting the trailer in tight spaces being short. But the ride was terrible,depending on road conditions, it would pitch up and down. Same roads with a long bed, nice and smooth. I would never go back to a short bed. I did 2 Iowa Trips with the Short bed.
