other, more pressing matters. We used her for background shots and close-up details for our website which will be up someday.
After I got her to Hagerstown, we went through her from the front to the back. I replaced the u-joints, relubed, tuned and had trouble with running performance until I put a John Geidl-built carburetor in. I snapped the rear axle one night coming home a few year ago with a load of hay. Wasn't that heavy. Ran out of gas, pulled into a field, added gas, eased out the clutch (and I mean eased) and the axle snapped. Even though I knew I'd do more damage, I had to get home, so I put her into four wheel drive and crawled home. that pretty well chewed up the gears in the pumpkin. I put it on the forum that I was in need of a rearend and a fellow sold me both the front and rear axles from brake drum to brake drum.
Got that all put together and even though we did a brake job, I was/am still having serious brake problems. Now that I've got her running, we'll get it sorted out.
