I just tested everything as David suggested. Then I knew that the problem was in the sending unit for sure The sending unit worked on its side but not in a vertical position. After soldering a coiled light gauge wire all is well after trying everything else over a three week period. Now I can finally mount by bed. Many thanks. David's fix should be on the best of forum for sure
