The truck is an M911 and the trailer is an M747. The 88,000 lb GVW sounds about right for empty. Loaded weigth gross's at something around 95 to 120 metric tons depending on what the load is (ie sp Howitzer, M60A3, M88A1, M1A1, etc). The M911 was okay for highway driving, but even with a driving front axle was lousy off-road. I always preferred the M746 to the M911. With a DDA 12V71 engine, a Clark electric shift transmission, and an air lock-up on the transfer for four axle drive, the M746 would haul loads that a M911 couldn't touch.
