I wonder if they are a heavier tube to put up with the big loads they put on those trailers. I suspect those loads are much grater than you would see on a 15 or 16" truck tire. They use the smaller tires on the lowboys to keep the center of gravity as low as possible you really do not want to load that equipment on a tall trailer and you want the bed to be flat with no fenders in the way.
