In John Gunnell's Standard Catalog of American Light Duty Trucks, 2nd Ed., there is a vehicle condition grading scale illustrated in the appendix to help make sense of the pricing guide. It runs from "1" (excellent) to "6" (parts truck). The National Auto Auction Association, on the other hand, publishes a scale from "0" to "5" that has the numbers inverted from the one in Gunnell's book.
On this forum, what would be the most common scale number for trucks like Bob Jones brought to Iowa? ...or what number for a non-running, rusty old parts truck? If another scale has been posted, I would appreciate the link.
