Marine M37's and M38A1's had lifting points different from the Army standard vehicles. On the M38A1, larger front shackles and rear shackles relocated to the corners provided lifting points that a ship's crane standard hook would fit. The M37 had the rear shackles relocated to the corners and the paperclip lifting points added to the front for the same purpose. Even Marine M series trailers had paperclip lifting points added.
