Absolutely true, but if you tried to drive here you'd see they need to ramp it up to keep the traffic manageable.

I read somewhere, years back, that a 1600cc engine (that's 110 cu in on your side of the pond) would move five people and their luggage at 100mph all day, plus tow a trailer of the same weight or greater. I like large US vehicles (I've got half a dozen...) but there seems to be much more of a cultural gulf between the gas guzzlers and the eco-freaks in the US than here in Europe. My little European turbo diesel does 62 miles per imperial gallon at 62 miles per hour, and even if fuel here was the US price I'd still want to screw every mile I can out a gallon of fuel - just being Scottish I suppose.

I can see fuel prices being more of an issue in the US.

Anyway got the side mount for the spare wheel on the WD 21 panel van welded today 8~)
