Big difference between a 440 and a 360. Big block mopars have the distributor up front at an angle on passenger side. small blocks have the dist. straight up in the back. 360 would be a small block.

Small blocks usually have numbers on the drivers side block by the freeze. big blocks usually have something stamped on a flat pad by the distributor.

If its the factory motor I doubt that its a 440 as I think 1978 was last year for them. I dont think they put a big block in a truck 1980 and newer but not 100% sure on this. It could be a 400 big block. Dont remember when the 400 died.
