She gets 16-18 in town, 22-24 on the highway. Generally we both really like it.
What we don't like:
IFS, the biggest lift I can install is 3", the wheel wells are too small for any tire larger than 265/70/16.
Window controls in the center console (German influence) the windows are in the DOOR, that's where the switched belong, it's a pain when you need to open the window quickly and have to search for the switches. Later models have them in a more convenient location but still in the console. The 2008 has them back where they belong, in the door.
The rear seat does not fold flat, it's a pain loading cargo and keeping a cooler from tipping, unless you load very carefully. This was corrected on the 2008.
It rides and handles great, good off-road visibility, 5 Star crash rated, needs a 50 state legal diesel.
The 4 door JKL Wrangler is more punch for your dollar, but about $5,000 more than the Liberty initially.
This is a Limited model Liberty, with every bell and whistle for only $24,000.
