and no I did not narrow it. The center of the tire matches the center of the tire of the original rear end . Mine is from a 78 ford and the front is from a 90 Dodge . There are many axles that would fit depending apon your wheel choice .
At some far off place in the future i may build adapters to take the old bead locks . But I do not plan on doing it any time soon .
