Is it a cast crank? I just can't imagine a forged crank in stock engine just up and breaking. I think if it would me, I'd make up a nice simple web site with pictures of the wreckage, a description of what happened, and the failure analysis report. I'd make sure I put all the right key words (truck make and model, engine manufacturer and model, plus of course "dodge", "mopar", "chrysler", etc) both in the text and in the meta tags. I'd put the page up on my web server but with no links pointing to it yet. Then I'd write a direct letter to the regional service manager stating that one of two things will happen. Either a new engine will be installed in my truck at no charge, or this extremely factual web page will go live on the Internet. It's his choice.
