Thats the one, and yes I have a ground wire going to the brakes and one to the trailer frame. I had to add the ground wire to the trailer frame when I bought the trailer as the lights were intermittent with out, and no light problems now, even with the brake problems.
I checked the resistance across the trailer brakes at the plug tonight and I have 1.2 Ohms. Sounds king of low to me, so hopefully tomorrow while the truck is off the trailer I'll check each wheel for resistance readings. I bet it's either a wheel coil or a controller problem.
