They're sheet metal screws, not machine screws, so don't try to run a tap into the hole. They're an odd-size screws. Maybe somebody knows of a source for new ones. When I've bunged them up, I take a flat-head phillips sheet metal screw (can't remember if it's #6 or #8 off-hand) that has the same threads as the old one, then grind the tip down until it's the length of the old one, and screw it in tight. The windshield screws seem to have a slightly smaller head, or a slightly different angle on the countersink or something because my jerry-rigged replacements never quite go down flush with the frame. They need to be flush for the window to slide in the track, so I grind them down flush. It'll make them even harder to get out next time, but I probably won't be around to have to do it.
