At $100 per axel, I believe there would be plenty of orders for a production run (considering nos axels are $125 and used axels are $75).Also how about a kerf cut into the shaft near the outer splines so that if an axel did break it would be out near the wheel-not in the differential (I believe Charlie mentioned this in a much earlier post).
