Its about time we get a 6 speed. I am always looking for another gear in my 99 diesel. I could have used it last weekend. I went to NJ to look at a P.W. towing a trailer. 65 to 70mph. I have 3:54 gears and got 14.9 mpg. I get 17 around town. my 90 Dodge W250 diesel 5 spd with 3:54 gears got 23 mpg towing a 1970 lincoln on a trip once. good thing dodge added more valves per cylinder on the 99 dodge or should I say cummins the power is nice but I thought I had enough on the previous truck. And while I'm complaing how about a better cup holder with the standard trans. I guess I need to drive my WDX for a while to appreiciate it.
