I checked #s out serial # 8686778 and U. S. goverment reg. # that was on hood , it is,
W003965 which acording to the Model I.D Chart found in Booklands Book
1940-1945 Dodge Military Vehicles
Collection No. 1
it is a WC-14.
also says only 268 made in 1941.
the w# is as follows, w-003856 to W- 004123 are
the military I.D. registration that I.D. trucks
along with the serial #"s on frame.
Thanks guys I never would of looked what this truck was if it weren't for this forum.
Oh the #'s on the hood now in the pix are #'s that I made
up, all kids and familys birthdays, I have the original hood in the garage on a nother WC, which I planned on keeping as the sheet metal and bed are in better shape. I"m gonna check and see what the heck this other truck is now, since I got the book and can find the #s.
