Your tires are probably 9.00 x 16 and the equivalent to the OEM tire is the Denman NDT (Non Direction Tread) from Denman Tires (www.denmantires.com). Modern radials can also be used for better performance, I think that Buckshot Mudders are pretty popular, lots of options available for 16 inch wheels.

Your greatest challenge is not as much finding tires as it is getting someone to work on your split-ring wheels. Forget about the corner tire shop or service station, they won't touch them. Your best bet is a commercial or agricultural tire dealer. They have the gear to deal with these rims. Actually, it's not all that hard, you need two levers and a big hammer to get the rings off - easier with "combat rims" that just unbolt. Most shops use a big steel cage when they inflate the tires in case those rings decide to let go while the tire is under pressure.
