You did not indicate what type of truck your clean gas tank is from, so I may be off base here. But before you coat the inside with a liquid liner, check to see whether there is a ceramic or screened filter at the lower end of the fuel pickup tube inside the tank. If there is, and you coat it along with the rest of the tank's inside, you might not be able to retrieve any fuel from the lined tank if you also completely sealed off the fuel pickup line.
