I second the other comment. I would only go with a MICO lock. The wires are just to sound the horn if pressure drops. It is nerve wracking enough to cut into the brake line. I would only do so on a vehicle that is driven on the street if I was 100% sure of the product that was going in the gap. In the case of MICO, you can count on the product to provide years of flawless service.
If you were building an off-road only crawler then it might be different.
