...it has a tag on the door jamb that says US Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, but that's not all. The doors are painted with black lettering that says:

U.S. Government Vehicle
For Official Use Only

But there is also white lettering lower on the door that has been mostly erased, but which perhaps (50% probable from my efforts to make it out) used to say:

CONTRACTOR VEHICLE
OPERATED BY
HUGHES AIRCRAFT CORP

The truck is painted Olive drab, and the hood is black. Last I checked, Hughes wasn't much of a FWS contractor, but was certainly an Air Force contractor. Perhaps the truck started out with the Air Force, and was then surplused to FWS later. I bought it here in Tucson out of the yard of an air conditioning company, and he got it from another guy on the same industrial complex who had meant to "fix 'er up someday", but never did.
