Holes were drilled for any of the different mirrors. I've never actually seen a W300 with the low single bent mirror but kind of like that clean look. I was considering just the single drivers door mirror on one of my W300's but the norm for 71 W300 was the West Coast mirror with 9 holes drilled in the passenger door & 6 holes drilled in the drivers door....the 3 threaded holes also get used so this eliminated the need for the extra three in the LH door.
The D600 pictured has the most popular mirror I've seen on 71 W300's.
