making 57 chevies. all new parts. you need to supply a cowl which they 'use' in the restoration for the vin and to maintain 1957 status.

not trying to fan the fire but thought when i read the article in hemmings that that could be a way for someone to make 'new' ffpws and not have to bring them into modern standards. they were still making orig style beetles in mexico until recently and there was a number of them coming here and becoming 'vintage' beetles too.
i dont think the chevy repro guys would go to the effort of building new repro chevies as 1957s if they hadnt figured out the legality.
