In my opinion, it would be pretty hard to give an answer to this question. I think weight distribution, gear ratio, power train, tire width and height, tread design, radial versus bias ply, sidewall flexibility, tread design, ground clearance, even manual transmission versus automatic, (did I leave anything out?) all come into play here. And, driver technique would contribute to the situation. If all these conditions could somehow be set up equally, you would have two identical vehicles. However the M37 would probably do better simply because those conditions are what it was designed for and your Ford was designed to go down the highway at a more comfortable cruising speed. Now, back to my kaleidoscope......ha ha.
