Dave,
I think the red is the primer that Dodge used on castings, my 52 has it on the steering knuckel housings. What is the orginal body color? I know that dodge painted the 3rd members different in the 60's on alot of muscle cars to indicate axle ratio's and sure-grip applications, but I'am not sure when this started. any sign of date codes on the drivers side tube, I can barely make mine out, there yellow instead of white like on the t137 site.
