what would be the best flathead engine to replace a 230 in a dodge 3/4 wc? no winch. desire would be to get more road speed and better acceleration. i dont need a diesel and i dont want a v8. usually it is said that there is no substitute for cubic inches but would a 237 be better than a 265 for my intended use as you can get more rpms out of it. i might be doing a beat around command car with parts left over from my restoration and a cc body i have a line on. pure driver, but want to keep the flathead look. i would do improvements to engine cam, intake and exhaust to improve breathing. 1 wire alt and electronic dist. maybe plane the head and do an od tranmission. no 489s but 11.00 16 michelins. thanks, mannyc
