Its not the best sugar season due to the weather. However, sugarmakers running vacuum on all lines (as I do) are makign our quite well. The vacuum increases sap flow 30 to 50%. Without vacuum, I would be dead in the water. Its hard to project what will happen if we get hit with this Nor'Easter. However, I have not had sap flows for the past 5 days.
Some forcasters are saying this could be the worst Nor'Easter in 50 years. Its got all the makings for 'The Perfect Storm".
