I used an electronic ignition and distributor from a late '70s Dodge P/U in my 230. Other than turning the dist. body in a lathe, and swapping the old shaft into the new housing, it was very simple. No more points, easy to hide, reliable, what more could you want.
Having such blatant and clearly incorrect parts may cause show field judges to look down their noses and hiss, but screw 'em. I built the truck to drive ,not to worry about having date coded air in the tires. Starting to sound like another rant, i'm done now.
